The Toyota Tacoma is a very popular vehicle for both
professional and private use. One of its
well-known features in the 2005 or later models is its composite bed. Many people enjoy that the composite is light
and does not rust or dent. Materials
also easily slide in and out of the bed, making it ideal for contractors
hauling heavy cargo.
One thing to consider when choosing a vehicle with a
composite bed is that the composite is not built to withstand the weight of a
ladder rack. Our Mid/Mini Size PROIII
Truck Rack for the Tacoma has a 1,000 pound capacity; however, without installing
a bed rail first, the Tacoma will not be able to carry a load of materials on
the rack without potentially causing damage to the composite bed. Fortunately, we do sell the bed rail hardware
kit on our website for all of our customers with 2005 or later Tacomas.
Our PROIII Truck Rack is made of a durable steel tube frame
which is rounded to reduce wind resistance and noise. The frame is treated with zinc primer and a
marine grade powder coat to prevent corrosion and UV damage.
