Cargo Van Equipment & Shelving
Van Shelving & Cargo Storage Systems for Work Vans
Van shelving and cargo storage systems from Ranger Design, Holman (formerly Kargo Master), Prime Design, and Legend keep your commercial van organized and ready for the job. Work Van Equipment carries equipment for cargo vans of every size — from compact vans like the Ram ProMaster City and Ford Transit Connect, to low roof vans, to high roof vans like the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit.
Shelving and storage
- Aluminum van shelving — weighs considerably less than steel, which preserves payload and fuel economy
- Steel van shelving — Ranger Design B4 Series for low roof vans and B5 Series for high roof vans
- Drawer units, lockers, and cabinets — for tools and parts that need to stay secure
- Refrigerant tank racks — for HVAC and mechanical work
- Bins, dividers, and accessories — to customize any setup
Ladder racks
Work Van Equipment carries ladder racks of every type: crossbars and cargo racks for lumber and materials, clamp-and-lock racks that secure ladders to the roof, and drop-down ladder racks that lower the ladder to the side of the van at waist height. A drop-down rack costs more than a fixed rack, but it removes the overhead lift that causes most ladder-handling injuries.
Safety and security
Bulkhead partitions separate the cargo area from the cab and keep loose cargo out of the front seats under braking. Anti-theft window screens, lockable shelf door kits, and cargo door locks add another layer of protection when the van is parked on the street. LED lighting and safety equipment round out a working van.
Everything is sized to a specific van
Van equipment is not universal. Shelving, partitions, and racks are built for a specific make, model, roof height, and in many cases wheelbase. Equipment built for one van will not fit another, and compact vans take entirely different equipment than full-size vans.
Get a quote before you order
Work Van Equipment quotes every van upfit by hand. Tell us your year, make, model, wheelbase, and roof height, and an upfitting specialist confirms what fits and sends a written quote the same business day. Quotes are free and there is no obligation to buy. You are talking to a person, not filling out a form that disappears. Larger orders qualify for special pricing — call 800-533-7722.
Common questions
Is van shelving universal, or does it fit only one van?
Van shelving is vehicle-specific. Shelving and partitions are built for a particular make,
model, and roof height, and equipment built for one van will not fit another.
Should I choose steel or aluminum van shelving?
Steel van shelving costs less and carries more weight, which suits heavy tools and parts.
Aluminum weighs considerably less, which preserves payload and fuel economy on high-mileage
vans.
What is a drop-down ladder rack?
A drop-down ladder rack lowers the ladder from the roof to the side of the van at roughly waist
height, so the ladder can be loaded and unloaded without lifting it overhead.
Do I need a partition in a work van?
A bulkhead partition separates the cargo area from the cab and keeps loose cargo from entering
the front seats under braking. It is not required by law in most cases, but many fleets and
insurers expect one on a work van.
