Organize Your Work Van With a Component Shelving Setup
Open shelving works best when the tools and supplies on it have a clear place. WVE's original Component Shelving Package combined adjustable steel shelving with drawers, bins, and portable organizers to create several storage zones in one unit.
The featured layout uses a 42-inch shelving unit from Holman, formerly known as Kargo Master. It offers a useful starting point for planning a setup around the parts, tools, and cases you carry every day.
Turn One Shelf Unit Into Several Storage Zones
Adjustable shelf levels let you plan space for accessories and equipment of different heights. Rather than filling every opening with the same type of storage, assign each area a purpose: small parts in bins, tools in drawers, and job-specific supplies in removable cases.
Compare current van shelving units before choosing the foundation for your layout.
Keep Tools Accessible With Drawers and Shelf Doors
The original package paired its shelving with a steel three-drawer cabinet. Ball-bearing slides provide smooth drawer access, while individual latches help keep drawers closed during travel.
A compatible shelf door adds an enclosed storage area for items you prefer to keep behind a panel. The original layout also used a top shelf to add another storage level. Check overall height and access clearance before including an extension in your van.

Take Organized Parts From the Van to the Job
Portable organizers help you bring a selected assortment of hardware to the work area. Use separate cases for common repair tasks, then return them to an assigned shelf location when the job is finished.
Dividable shelf bins provide another way to separate loose supplies. Match bin size to the parts you carry, label each location, and leave room to remove bins without rearranging nearby equipment.
Choose Storage by What You Carry
| Storage Option | Useful For | Planning Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Adjustable shelves | Cases, supplies, and equipment of different heights | Shelf spacing, usable depth, and load ratings |
| Drawer cabinet | Hand tools and organized small items | Drawer clearance, mounting compatibility, and rated capacity |
| Dividable bins | Fasteners, fittings, and connectors | Compartment size and easy removal |
| Portable organizers | Supplies needed away from the vehicle | Case dimensions and an assigned return location |
| Shelf doors and lips | Enclosing storage areas and adding edge retention | Correct accessory fit and the required securement method |
Confirm the Layout Before Ordering
Measure the available wall space, wheel-well clearance, aisle width, and door openings. Review the shelving and accessory installation instructions, and include equipment weight when planning your vehicle's payload.
The photos show the original package configuration. Product designs, accessory quantities, and availability may change. Ask WVE to confirm the current setup and quote before ordering. Shelf lips and doors support organization, but they do not replace appropriate cargo securement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kargo Master equipment now called Holman?
Yes. Kargo Master is now known as Holman. Older product images and instructions may still use the former name.
Can I customize the storage layout?
You can plan a layout using compatible shelves and accessories. Confirm mounting requirements, dimensions, and available clearance for each component.
Will a 42-inch shelf fit every work van?
No. Fit depends on the shelf's full dimensions, the vehicle configuration, and the mounting method. Width alone does not confirm compatibility.
Are all the accessories pictured included in a current package?
The images show the original layout. Contact WVE to confirm the accessories and quantities in the current configuration or quote.
